Smooking unit

Smoking is a chronic addictive disease, a harmful habit that creates dependence due to nicotine and whose main clinical manifestations are: cardiovascular disorders, respiratory disorders and the appearance of tumors. It is considered the leading cause of death in developed countries. Quitting smoking is the best advice we can give our patients. Studies indicate that quitting smoking with the accompaniment of a healthcare professional multiplies the chances of success. For this reason, we have created a space in which to guide and accompany the patient who has decided to take the step. We want to provide useful and necessary tools to implement the decision. Offer resources that will decrease withdrawal symptoms. Teach how to avoid what makes the patient return to smoking and face fears and adversities that may arise during the process.
